I haven't experienced any of the negative effects when your partner dies, so I'm assuming they are alive and I don't know who they are.

I didn't really try to find mine. I am pondering on it now considering how close to the end we are, but I don't think they are seeking me out either.

For what it's worth, Pesto-chan said it would probably be better to do it at this point. So maybe they'll be changing their minds too.
