How is Pâté doing?

A very sad day. [ Mathis... ] I'm okay. I'm missing people dear to me, and I'm worried about those who have been left behind, but I'm okay.

[he bumps her with his little skull to give her a kiss on the hand.]

You're worrying about so many people. You're a good friend.

Thank you, Pâté. You seem like a very good friend as well. Have you been with Miss Laudna for a long time?

He was just a little doll I made a few decades ago, when I was quite lonely.

Why were you lonely?

...Well, there are some people who find me a tad off-putting. After I came back from the dead, it was a long time before I found anyone who wasn't frightened.

Some people don't have tastes and they missed out on having someone nice in their lives.

Aren't you lovely. [a small smile at that.] I think so, too. But many people can be rather small-minded.

[ Sighs at that ] Those kind are unfortunately common. I'm hoping you've met better in your world, right?

Yes. After a long time, I met some wonderful people.
